plz explain refresh rate fix

will someone plz explain to me what this whole thing is about? something thats wrong with Win2k and XP right? what exactly is the whole problem?

I was wondering if there was any way I could get Battlefield and my other games to run higher than 60hz (or 60 fps) with vsync enabled. would using one of these tools enable me to do that?

which program should I get and how should I use it? Thnx in advance..

To enable refresh rate of >60Hz you have to manually edit some fine in the BF directory. I don't remember which one, look online ....

Nah, the overide works fine. The BF hack does JUST that game while the overide does all games. Is this nvidia or ati? Nvidia has a refresh rate fix in driver options tab. Set it to that refresh rate and everything you do will run that refresh. If ati its also in drivers . At monitor tab choose default mon and set refresh to desired one. Both have included the fix in drivers but still there are 3rd party apps from before when neither had the problem fixed. Id just use the included one.
