9600pro or 9700 pro? that is the question
Im thinking of either getting a ati 9600 pro or a 9700 pro but i am wondering if there is a big diffence between the two in graphics and speed. And is there any place where i can get them for the cheapest price.

9700 is more pricey but its pretty much a good deal. U can overclock the 9600 to around the 9700s clock speed.

I think the 9600 has 4 pipe lines and the 9700 has 8 ( what ever that means)

the 950pro is faster than the 9600 and by implication the 9700 spanks both of them. I think the 9700 is a better proposition personally.

9600 series is a let down. Get a 9700NP or PRO.

My daughter runs 9660 3DMark2001se points with her Radeon 9600PRO. I run 14000 with my 9700 PRO. Enough said?

jeez i can beat that 9660 score with my generic TI-4200 64mb card and a 1700+. i'd have to say spend the extra bucks to get a 9700pro

Just to throw a monkey wrench into this... In a few weeks the 9600 pro all in wonder is coming out!
