Hi. I have a few questions about how to transform an ATI 9800se into a 9800 np. I know that the only difference between those cards is the 4 pipelines that are disabled in the 9800se, but I’m not sure if those pipes can be enabled like with the 9500 np.
Are those pipes disabled by software or it’s a change in the layers of the card?.
Would be of any use to change the BIOS of the 9800se to 9800 np or PRO and then load the right drivers?.
Some people says that with the Riva Tuner you can soft mod the card and enable those pipes but I’m not completely sure. Would that work?.
I just ordered one 9800se believing it was like a 9800 np but just after I got the confirmation I became aware of what it really was.
Does anyone have any experience with this?.
I would really appreciate any help on the matter.
