Is 43C a bad idle temp for a P4 2.4B? I am trying to figure out if i need another heatsink or if I can keep my stock one. I am overclocked to 2.8 and my Vcore is 1.5. Is the thermotake spark 7+ xaser heatsink the best out there for P4s?

P4 2.4B stock heatsink
Soyo Dragon Lite P4X400
120GB Maxtor
GF 2 (for now gettin a 9700)
a lot of fans but a hot room

If you don't overclock, and has good ventilation in the case (air moving in and out), the stock heatsink is just fine.

43C is not too bad at all.

I agree 100% with GoldenBuddha, stock is fine if you are not overclocking, in some cases that isn't a problem either, depending on how much you overclock

43c is a great temp for conventional air cooling
