USB Fatal exception message

Hi everyone,
I have a USB Fatal Exception problem. To what category should I submit my question?
If it is ok right here: I connect the USB cable from camera to PC. (after installing usb drive from camera CD) Turn on PC and get : fatal exception OE at 0028:C16E34BE in VXD APIX (01) + 0000317E. and then the PC turns off.
I have an HP with win 98

If I remember right Win-98 has problems with USB, that’s one of the many reasons
they came out with Win-98SE. If you do a windows update there may be some fixes.

I'm sorry I do have Win98 SE.
Do you have the link to those fixes?

what motherboard do you have?
