Zone Alarm and my web server

I want to throw Zone Alarm on my NT 4 web server. When I tried it earlier, it blocked access to the website to people outside. Is there a setting that says "Hey, it's a website. People need to see it"?

I'm not familiar with NT, but does your web server have a thing where you can change what port you use? If all else fails, I suggest using BlackICE in place of ZA, or even Norton Internet Security if things come to that.

Use Sygate Personal Firewall.

Having said that, ZA should let through http with relatively little tweaking. Just make sure Port 80 is open, both in and out.

Cheers
Mick

Yes, IIS4 "has that thing", you can run it on any port you wish.

You will have to tell ZA to a allow connections from anywhere to port 80. Moving it to another port wont help things as you will just have to write the rule for that port.

Congrats to Siliconjunkie on his first double post!!! Your one step ahead of me, and if my freinds posted here you'd be 20 steps behind them.
