SB Live! 5.1 Digital.

My computer used to lock-up/freeze. After removing my sound card, SB Live 5.1 Digital, the problem stopped or at least it hasn't re-appeared yet. Does anyone ever had this problem before?

Specs:

Mobo: Asus P4-C800-DX.
Processor: P4 2.6 FSB 800 MHz.
RAM: OCZ dual channel 400 MHz 512MB.
Hard Drive: Western Digital 80GB 7200 RPM.
Video card: ASUS 8460 Ultra (G4 Ti 4600 - drivers updated).
Sound card: Creative SB Live! 5.1.
Wireless PCI card: Linksys WMP11 v2.7.
Powersupply: Antec 430 watts.
OS: Windows XP Professional Edition. (Updated).

I tried installing the patch for the SB 5.1 Digital but I couldn't install it.

I have a SB Live! 5.1 Platinum and a similar set up and it has never once froze on me?

Have you tried using the card with a different video card?

I know it sounds funny but a LOT of sound cards are incompatible with video cards. It's weird, but its happened a LOT.

No. I haven't tried it with a different video card.
No. I haven't tried moving it to another slot.
