A program to test your OC

Hey guys/gals.

Want to run an application that will push your overclocked or powerfull cpu to the max?

Try running Find-a-Drug. Not only will it test your newly overclocked processor and temperatures, it will help find a cure for Cancer, Sars and other killers.

It will sit harmlessly in your tray and will use all free cpu cycles, if you load up another application, it will move aside and release as many cpu cycles as the application requires.

Try it, you might like it

It's a nice concept. But doesn't Seti@Home and such kinda do the same thing? Distributed computing projects always take up 100% of your CPU cycles, which would seem to make your proc go to it's maximum temperature, and do something productive while it's at it.

Yes, but FaD is the one you should join. And remember, its team 2037. (I can't believe you forgot to mention the team number win2kuser! sheesh! )
You can also use superpi and winbench to stress it, as DC projects may not stress the machine as fully as specifically made benchmarks, for example, some may only deal in pure integers and not use certain features of the CPU.

eh, join the Dnetc and go with XPC as a team hehe, it involves decrypting a 64 bit encrypted msg...and, if you find the key, you win 10 grand to be split up between yourself, your team, distibuted computing, and a charity of your choice, as well as having an extra 1 grand in ya pocket to do what ya want with lol

Don't forget that one, you have the chance (about 1.008x10^-17%) of getting that key. We should all give up crunching for cancer, and start on this ground-breaking project.
BTW the 64bit one was cracked about 18 months-2 years ago, we're into 72-bit territory now!

FaD is Find-a-drug:

As to seti, I gave up following all that cheating and the fact that there were some reported problems with what was happening, also that there has been no results whatsoever to suggest ET intelligence.
