Kids Multimeters (A+)

can someone let me now if there is a part in the A+ exams that cover, the testing of equipment with multimeters, as i am at a part in my lesson that covers electricity and testing PCs and cables, if it is in there, is it an important part of the exams, as the books that i have read from sybex, they do not cover multimeters and test equipment, so i dont no if i should just get a basic knowledge of testing equip or read up about it more. Thx for any input.

I don't remember anything about this. The less related to regular PCs question I got was how two PDAs exchanged data.

multimeter operation is more of a basic electronics and electricity know how. If you know the difference between voltage, current, resistance, impeadence, you should be alright with anything on the A+ exam that would have anything to do with multimeter operation. I have not taken the exam but have had freinds take it. Know your PC voltages and what they apply to(+3.3VDC, +5VDC, +12VDC) within the PC and you should be ok.

The only multimeter question I remember was what it should read when going across a good fuse (0 ohms)

I don't recall any questions about multimeters specifically. There was one or two on the voltages.
