Dell Inspiron 500m LCD/Video Problem (Maybe?)

Here is the situation:

I received my brand new Dell Inspiron 500m yesterday. It has the 64mb integrated Intel Extreme Graphics video card and a 14" LCD display. I booted it up and immediately noticed something was fishy; it looks like everything is in 16 colours mode. It's set in 32-bit but it's definitely not displaying properly. What worries me is that even before it boots into Windows, at the XP Splash screen for instance, you can tell the colours aren't set right. So it doesn't seem like a problem exclusive to Windows.

I've tried the newest drivers, the oldest drivers, every resolution (colour depth) combination known to man, and I can't figure out what the problem is. While I'm waiting on Dell's guys to get back to me, I thought I would ask around.

Does anyone have ANY idea what could be wrong? I'm beyond frustrated on this one.
