Cut and Paste Problems
i cant cut and paste! it's not working, i tried to cut a folder and tried to paste it at a different place, but i couldnt use the "paste" function CTRL V didnt work either!

what's wrong??

i changed nothing in the system settings!

ok now i tried to copy in a graphic program and it said that RPC/Server isnt activated, what the hell is that??

i restarted, and tried to copy, and then a system program crashed called svchost or something like this, how can i start this? and fix that problem??

already scanning system for viruses!

I'm having the exact same problem, I'm also having some kind of com error not letting me use my CD-R drive.... I was just going to format and start over. I've got norton anti virus gusse I'll force it to update then scan... if that dont work its formating tim.... (the thing is, I just burned a CD and crap yesterday...)

I downloaded the worm removeal tool from nortons site and it said I didnt have the worm. I'll down load the microsoft patch and search the registry manualy. (i'm about ready to format any ways cause I used a linux based password crack when i forgot my pass word one day, now my system dosent remember passwords. (good secuirty but annoying.)

well i disabled the rpc thing even though i wasn't supposed to. i don't follow directions well. here were the instructions:
http://www.techimo.com/forum/showthr...threadid=75907 if probably would have worked too. I trashed 2pcs plus a laptop doing this. So DO NOT DISABLE THE RPC SERVICES. just to let u know it's not pretty. wouldn't let me move ,copy, paste, disconnect interent, open files, who knows what else.

Reformat, Reformat, Reformat boom all i got is windows xp and ms office on them + the patch thats it.

hopefully that will solve the problem for the time being.
