Outdoors NTLDR and DISK I/O problem

NTLDR and disk I/O problem
Ok i got these old Deleted comps from my dads work and they had stock yards full of then a dn they were clearing thjem out. so i went there and decided these machines would make decent servers for counter strike or whatever. So the i got about nine of then and tried booting thjem all up to see if hthey worked. Good news is they all booted up to windows 95 just fine. So i began my work of putting a different O/S on them.

-The first one was a gateway 2000 with 160mb of ram and a P2 233mhz proc. I put the windows XP cd in that one and it installed properly and eveything worked great (im acually posting this message on that comp)

-The rest were all some wierd Deleted kind never heard of before. They all have P1 166mhz procs and have about 48mb of edo ram. I new that xp could not be installed on these machines because xp requires 64m of ram. So i looked to 2000 pro. I loaded up windows 95 put the 200 disk in and reinstalled from windows (everything worked fine on that first one)

-The rest of the comps had harddrives that were a little smaller and could not load the 2000 disk straight form the cd in windows, so i reformatted all the other disks. Now i try to install 2000 by putting the 2000 disk in at start up and it never boots???? i checked bois to see the boot priority and my order is cdrom,a,c. So it never boots from the cdrom it just sayes NTLDR is missing press ctrl+alt+dlte to restart. If i try putting a floppy ing the drive to boot form there if sayes "DISK I/O Error"

Someone please help me, i cannot take a burn on all 6 of these computers i need some input.

Even know your angry please refrain from using those words

I also get this NTLDR missing, press ctrl + alt + del error on my Windows XP Professional. I recieved a Fatal system error prior to repairing my Windows and now I get this NTLDR missing thing... I can get into my computer fine if I set my cd-rom drive as a bootup with the Windows XP CD and instead of seeing the "NTLDR file missing" it goes to "Press any key to boot from CD..." and after that I can login just fine but I don't like the idea of having to keep Windows XP CD in just so I can use my computer and wondering a fix for this myself. I tried using Recovery console and typing "fixboot" but did not solve it. I also tried copying NTDETECT.com and NTLDR file from the WinXP CD to drive C: but that didn't work either for me.

I wish someone knows the answer to this and reply something for us...

I have Windows XP and it does say NTLDR is missing but it doesn't say "Press any key to restart", instead it says "Press ctrl + alt + del to restart"

i fixed this problem guys, some other guys on other forums were a little more productive than the people here. you boot up your win xp cd and go to setup the choose setup windows xp then youl see your partition with windows on it. delete the partition and create a complete new one with your full disk space available, then format and reinstall xp. that did it for me. hope i helped ya.

That seems like a lot of work... format? That's basically the last solution to any problem...
