Sandra burn-in help

has anyone ever heard of SiSoftware's Sandra's burn-in test damaging the computer? i want to run the "burn-in" test to c how my computer is doing, but it gave me a warning that my computer might become permanently damaged because of this test. should i run it? is it safe? thanks.

Heard a RUMOR about dvd drives burning in till failure on laptops at on time but never any evidence of such.

Technically...Yes-you POSSIBLY could...kinda like drowning in the bath tub

Will it happen? Most likely NOT

If your concerned about damage to your proc, i'll offer three items of advice.

1. Do not alter the temperature settings in your bios
2. Use the default settings in SANDRA

That's it...Once you get more familiar with her you can adjust burn-in times and cpu usage.

Make sure the setting for the "run priority" is set to low (should be by default) or use the normal mode. Either of these 2 settings will be fine.
