The nForce is a chipset only for AMD processors. You will have to get an AMD to work with it, or get an Intel chipset for your P4.

For the P4, the chipset to get is either the Springdale (865PE) or the Canterwood (875P). Both chipsets are made by intel, and both offer a good amount of performance and features. They support the 800 MHz FSB P4's, and have support for HT processors as well.

As Dave pointed out, the nForce2 chipsets are manufactured for AMD processor platforms only, and they are currently at the top of the AMD food chain for performance and features.

Prescott starts at 3.6! Why bother with 3.2 HT on a system that wont upgrade any higher. P4 northwood is dead-Intel is moving on. This as ALWAYS will require a new mobo. As it nees once again-MORE power to run cpu stable and a NEW socket. Intel predictable-yes.
