Send a message via Yahoo to Brainchild
Create a new layer for each word,or letter whichever the case may be,then you can move the entire layer where you want it

Send a message via ICQ to Creatures
then create 4 layers, two with the G on it and two with the J

Layers:
  • G_1
    J_1
    G_2
    J_2

then you should start erase some part of the G_1 which should behind the J and erase some part of the J_1 whihc should be behind the G.

hope i could help!

sorry that i'm not like Out who makes awsome tuts witha lot of pics, but i was a bit faster

Well i did that. It looks nice if u dont have a beveled style. But if its beveled it makes it look like the g just stops then the j is in between it. It looks corney. Ill post a pic later.

you will have to create the layers with the beveled words...then rasterize each layer so that it is an image insted of a font...then you can manipulate them without the funky effects of the bevel.
If you do not understand rasterization, post back...I can be more specific

That has 3 layers with styles on the text [1-g 2-j's] and played a little with the eraser

heres wat mine looks like. Where the g goes under the j. It looks weird. Theres like no shadow and the g looks like it stops on 1 side of the j and continues on the other. Not the under the j effect i wanted.

If I get you correctly then what you need to do is rasterize the type [if you have not already] then erase some text effects in areas as necessary and/or paint some shadows by hand to taste

You may need to copy/paste the letters to a new page to erase styles/text effects properly
