I was sorta debating on the Xaser III cases or this one. The Xaser will be a bit more money.

Sounds high, I just put together a comparable computer, with similar parts for just under $700.

Sounds good, not sure about the price as dollars don't mean nothin' over in the UK

That mobo will support dual channel ram, so it might be worth picking up another stick of 512. Note. Both ram modules must be identical for dual channel to work.

If you are planning to oc. set the fsb to 11 x 200MHz and viola, a 3.2XP

hth

You really don't need that soundcard, since the onboard sound is very comparable to the soundcard you have selected. Also, unless you plan on overclocking the stock heatsink and fan should be plenty good, I'm using it and the highest temp I get it 52 C. If you do plan on overclocking that HSF is good, but a really good one to get would be the Thermalright SLK-800 with Antec(or is it vantec?) Tornado 80mm 84CFM fan.

yeah i was thinkin about gettin 2 sticks of 256 ram instead of the 512. cause i have heard i dont need that much ram unless i do 3d graphics and such(which i dont). hmm i guess u could pull the sound card out of the old computer and drop about 200 off of the price. or take that 200 toward a saphire video card .

You really don't need a sound card, it has great onboard sound. As for the video card, you could get a Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600 PRO (what I have), its a great video card and will save you a lot of money, what exactly do you do on the computer?

This is what I just ended up building for a friend of mine. (His choice in parts, not mine)

465W SH ATX power for P4, dual fans w/Mesh $70

2) A7N8x-X nForce2-S, AGP8x, A133, Dual-DDR400, Audio5.1, Lan, USB2.0 $90

3) Barton XP2500+ CPU s462/128k+512K .13 (333FSB; 1.833ghz) 32bit $130

4) 1 Gig of DDR Ram – (Free after rebate at Office Max)

5) Pioneer 105 DVD burner $245

6) ATI 9600 Pro video card $130

7) 100 GB HD $89

Total $754
But somehow we ended up getting everything for $698, NOT including shipping.
