Kids ASUS Q-Fan™ question

ASuS A7N8X Deluxe
AMD AthlonXP 2200+ (no OC)
Generic approved 300W PSU, no fan sensor

System fans:

Tt Volcano 9 - using Function 2, fan speed auto control with sensor attached to CPU, connected to CPU_FAN1
Tt SmartFan (rear) - using variable fan speed with sensor, connected to PWR_FAN1
Vantec case fan (front) - non-variable, connected to CHA_FAN1

With the two main system fans already being variable speed by design, I'm wondering if I should enable or disable ASUS Q-Fan? I'm assuming Q-Fan would be redundant so it's disabled at the moment... is this a good or bad idea?

I had the same HSF (before watercooling) and I didn't bother with QFan...even when I tried using it, it never worked.

The Volcano 9 has a way to variably control ITSELF based on temperature anyway, so I see little point in QFan for it.

That's what I thought too... just wanted a second opinion, thanks.

I've got the Volcano 9 set up for variable speed with the sensor attached to the underside of the CPU... doing it that way eliminates a lot of the noise complaints that are sometimes associated with this particular HSF. On my system it's no louder than the Cooler Master DP5-6H51 on my old K6-III+ system.
