Composite Video-In Viewer/Capture software?

I have a Gigabyte GV-R92128VH which is powered by a Radeon 9200, 128MB RAM with VIVO support.

I am in need of a good viewer/capture program so that I can watch TV on my machine. I used to use ASUS Live for this when I had an ASUS card, but it obviously doesn't work with the gigabyte card.

I tried using ATI's "Multimedia Center", but couldn't get the TV section to load (kept saying "TV Player failed to initialize the video"). After trying everything in the FAQs and Troubleshooting on ATI's site, I've given up on it and am now looking for anything else.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you installed DirectX 9 and the newest ATI drivers for it? I know with my ATI video capture card, these steps were required.

DScaler is a freeware program designed to do what you're looking to do, if you can't get the ATI software to work.

Are you cetrain the card supports TV in? The specs listed claim video out support, but does not mention video in.

My card supports s-video and composite video-in, they supply a cable for it. I feed a cable signal through a VCR and then into my card, which the multimedia center docs say I can do. I have the latest drivers and directx 9.0b installed.

For what I'm looking for, Win DVR is an excellent program, but I'll check out DScaler as well 'cause it's freeware.

Thanks
