My clock is fast in XP

I've had to manually update the clcok on my taskbar 3 times!! Whenever I update it it's set to the correct time which is usually up to ten minutes back from the one it was showing. is it supposed to be like this or do i have to fix something.

well if you have broadband (or any always on internet connection) you could synchronize your computer's clock with an internet time server.

Just a thought..

It could also be your battery is running low on juice so there's not enough to store the information of your BIOS onto the CMOS.

Double click on the time in lower right hand corner on the taskbar - select internet time - and then choose a time server. This only seems feasible if you have an always on internet connection btw.

That's not to say that it can't be done though. You can read about your options here:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...s+2000&spell=1

But just skimming along I'd say this one offers the most promise:

I already have that option checked. I just got back from work. and in ten hours my clock is 5 min. faster than the one on my cable box. this isn't of dire importance but i've never had this happen before. if it's the battery I'm just going to have to deal
