nVidia Detonator Drivers 45.23 WHQL

I got pointed at warp2search that they noticed a new Detonator driver release, and indeed. It was originally posted by fujitsu-siemens. We have mirrored the file for you downloading pleasure. The file has been 7zip compressed (self extracting excutable) for a small 8.3 MB file-size.

The new drivers are for Windows 2000/XP and have been labeled with build 45.23 and are dated 28th of July 2003. This is a generic multilanguage release and it's the latest driver currently available. The more interesting fact is that the drivers support the yet to be announced Geforce FX5200SE, 5600SE & 5900SE cards. Also, this release has been WHQL certified (Microsoft tested and approved).

Update: an email from nVIDIA just came in. This driver was not meant to be released just yet. You can expect the official release of this driver on Monday. I now have a document that explains all driver fixes, and it looks good. We will remain serving the fujitsu-siemens version and on Tuesday you can expect NVIDIA's version which I also already have in my posession. That version will have a full set/installer and will be posted online on Tuesday. I just did a byte comparison and basically there is no difference.

Seem's like I just installed the 44.03's. There would have to be some gain in performance to justify upgrading.

If added stability then I will use them.
I've been having a problem, I installed the nvidia det's 44.03, from 40 on above, it has been having a problem with the refresh rate not getting above 85hz. My monitor get's up to a higher refresh rate like 120hz or 140hz. With these drivers they don't allow that.
Does anyone know of a fix for allowing these drivers to get up to a higher refresh rate.

Is there any reason why these drivers aren't listed on NVidia's site to download?

I'd give 'em a whirl if I didn't have to get them from a third party.

Dumb Question JeordieWhite but does Windows detect your monitor properly? You know, correct model and all? Sorry, but that's about as helpful as I can be.

There is a refresh rate tool for Nvidia drivers on 2k/xp. Seems to be a bug; maybe os.

Haven't tried the fix on the newer releases, but seemed to work fine on the early 40's.

How is it dumb? I have downloaded the video driver from the manufacter of the monitor. Yes believe it or not it's right driver. However the nvidia drivers don't allow it to go over 80hz refresh rate when the monitor went to 120hz with previous drivers. Instead it however goes blank rather than run at the right refresh rate.
So thanksfor doing ever thing but being helpful Scott Tiger I appreciate it .

They usually release beta drivers, some times they can be good. Soon the next set of det's will be released with a differen't number usually. Atleast that is what i have seen before with their drivers they have.
