I bought a pc with .9G Pentium 3 cpu
and a 20G HD,Windows XP. BUT.......the memory is 128MB.
If I attempt to open up, say Word, it takes forever. The HD is only 1/4 used so that is not a problem. Could the memory be causing this.I have never seen a pc as slow as this is to operate. Any ideas.

Yes, you need another stick of RAM .. better to get 256MB stick because winXP will use all of the memory you have and ask for more.

Definitely more ram needed for sure. Win xp is a resource hog and for the speed of your system an older os (like 98 or 2000) will run faster.
