try takin off your side pannel. if that helps then its probably an air flow problem in your case, if not ,it may be that your hs/f may not be seated rite or dirty

I'm no expert, but I don't think your problem is heat. I recently started a thread on how high is too high a temp for a processor. I have been having cooling problems or should I say I should be having cpu problems. I was operating my amd 1300 at about 68c I found out that was way too hot. I am averaging about 60c now with NO cpu problems. But what I have learned is that between 40c and 50c is a good temp. I will be making cooling changes on my case soon and I was planning getting the 2500. I'm interested in the responses you get on this thread also.

Running at 60c will severely shorten the life of your CPU...running at 40-50c is the temperature you need to try to have...low 40s and below are good temps

I have a Barton 2500 also and have 3-hd ,1-cdrom,1-cdburner and 1 intake fan and 3 exhaust fans + a dual fan power supply. I am using an aero cooler 7 by coolermaster with arctic silver. Before this I was running at 56 to 60 C with an arctic cooler but after reseating I decided to go with the aero and I now run 41-45 C. Hope this helps

Have you taken the side off and made sure the fan is running correctly. Check to see that the fan is running at the correct RPM during Max usage.
