A7N8X Deluxe weird sound issue

every once in a while when im listening to mp3's or watching a movie or just sitting on the computer the volume will jump to really low on its own. it has just started to do it and its getting annnoying having to go into the sound panel and turn it back up


I have the latest soundcard drivers from nvidia, Running winxp. onboard sound of course

guess what? MEE TOO..

try to use drivers from asus instead of nVidia...

if you are willing to sacrafice the GUI of nvidia you can install the realtek drivers...

The onboard audio on this motherboard is terrible, problems like that are unavoidable. Also, if you listen to an MP3 or such, you will hear a grainy fuzz type sound, I would suggest getting a new sound card (which is what I'm doing). A good sound card to get would be the VOYETRA TURTLE BEACH SANTA CRUZ - OEM , search for it at newegg.com, nice price for a great sound card .

the onboard audio is not terrible, its the drivers that are terrible.

and i dont hear a grainy fuzz sound when i listen to mp3 or any sort. i dont want to purchase a new card for my motherboard.

Hmmm, I do, its in real quite parts of music...maybe its just my speakers, lol, their old anyway.

realtek drivers... the gui sucks but at least it fixed... or put a heatsihnkfan on the NB + SB

Eryk have you tried this yourself? Maybe post a link explaning me the problem and the fix you suggest?
