well im about to get a pda, im curious, certain ipaqs support video playback and also have a usb port, can windows ce recognize a usb dvd, and install codecs for divx and dvd playback? or is this a pipedream, cause that little screen would be sharp on long trips, now only how to power the dvd besides at home or in the car, any input on this?

For the amount of money you will be spending and effort you will go thru to get it all going you can just buy a $199 portable DVD at WalMart. Even if you really want an IPAQ I would go with a portable DVD for movies.
