Just picked up a pretty old PC to fool around with to test stuff on and am getting hung up on the Energy Pollution Preventer, the first screen you'd see when you fire up your computer (BIOS loading)
Anyway, I cant enter the BIOS and its stuck on a "Checking NVRAM".
Have you tried resetting the BIOS with the Mobo jumper? Or you can rip out
the battery & let the BIOS drain for a few days. But chances are Siliconjunkie
is right, & it’s toast.
what is the bios? ami, phx, etc? 3 above suggestions would be mine too...i probably am resident low end junky old computer guy, and i have about 20 of those p/200mmx guys, and never had that problem. I bet one of the 3 above work, luck, Bill
I've had this problem with a pc I was given for a fix, only powering the box and waiting before powering the screen fixed it, I have no idea why, it is fully reproductible, with different screens, but works fine with the its owner 's screen
