Stop 0x00000050 or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
The Stop 0x50 message indicates that requested data was not in memory. The system generates an exception error when using a reference to an invalid system memory address. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause Stop 0x50 messages.

Possible Resolutions:

If you added new hardware recently, remove and replace the hardware to determine if it is causing or contributing to the problem. Run diagnostics software supplied by the hardware manufacturer to determine if the component has failed.
Stop 0x50 messages can also occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If the file name is listed, you need to disable, remove, or roll back that driver. If not, disable the recently installed service or application to determine if this resolves the error. If this does not resolve the problem, contact the hardware manufacturer for updates. Using updated drivers and software is especially important for network interface cards, video adapters, backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, and CD mastering tools. If an updated driver is not available, attempt to use a driver from a similar device in the same family. For example, if printing to a Model 1100C printer causes Stop 0x50 errors, using a printer driver meant for a Model 1100A or Model 1000 might temporarily resolve the problem.
Microsoft KB articles:

STOP 0x00000050 PrtSeqRd deferencing null device object
STOP 0x50 Error starting Windows after connecting a scanner

Do you have service pack 1 installed? grrrr stupid connection and my post

Hmm, I have disabled both firewall and antivirus and now gonna see what happens. If this doesn't solve the problem then I will update the Mobo's BIOS, if that doesn't work then I don't know what will, might have to start all over, partition the drive and re-install XP.

**Should I run windows update also?**

I have always been under the impression that enabling the Boot Sector Virus Scanner in BIOS when using Windows is not a good idea - although I couldn't tell you why

Try dissabling that again and see if it makes a difference.

I keep getting more STOP errors, so now my resolve was to uninstall the AVG and Sygate, for those have a possibility of causing the problem. But yesterday (before the uninstall) I got a different STOP message, this was one about some USB thing, but its weird, my USB connections didn't come with drivers, they are USB 2.0, should I go and update the BIOS on my motherboard also? It kinda sound like a good idea to me but is risky I hear. Oh, and could these STOP messages being cause by bad memory? Should I run a memory test that I got from memtest86.com? What happens if there are bad spots on the RAM, do I have to buy whole new sticks or is there a way to just block those pieces off? Also, I disabled the virus checking in the BIOS and I installed PC-cillen which came with the MOBO. Oh, I also ran a windows update, just to be safe.

Could these random restarts be cause by spyware? I downloaded Spybot Search & Destroy and found a good bit of spyware, naturally I removed them all. No signs of restarts today, will keep you all updated. Oh, I also ran memtest86...for like 4 hours, anyway, no errors there, a relief for me. I've narrowed it down to a few possible things that were causing the restarts, if anyone is having or had the same problem I'm having and you are running one of these appz or did one of these things let me know:

1. AVG Antivirus
2. Sygate Personal Firewall
3. BIOS Firewall
4. Spyware
5. Bad drivers (updated them all)
6. Old BIOS (haven't updated them yet, not to clear on how, since I don't have a floppy drive)
7. Overheating (my comp has been acting real funny with this temperature thing, I just booted up the comp and the BIOS said it was running at 60C, but PC Probe (which came with the mobo and reads directly from the BIOS) is reading 46C, this is confusing me, I don't know which to believe.

Well, I think thats about all for now :P.

**Oh, a thought came to me, is it possible that it could be giving me these STOP messages because I have it plugged into a Surge protector that is shared with another computer? Just wondering, maybe something suddenly just didn't get enough voltage and windows gave me the error because maybe it couldn't find it or something. *Shrugs* Just a thought.

**edit 2**
These are my voltage readings

+12 V ----12.224V
+5 V ------4.892V
+3.3 ------3.28
Vcore -----1.68

As you can see they are all running a little bit under besides the 12V reading.

**edit 3 (final hopefully)**
I'd like to note that the surge protector its connected to is OLD, and that the only two other things on it are the speakers and the cable modem (the cable modem cuts off occasionally).
