Computer/Domain trust relationships

We've got an XP box that fails to connect to the domain. When I try to logon (as administrator) I receive the following error.

"User Accounts: The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed."

I'm open to sugestions. I've tried resetting the computer in the Active Directory MMC. I;ve even deleted both the user and the computer from AD then recreated them.

OK, so you are adding a computer to a subdomain and it says that the machine and/or the domain doesn't trust each other? What kind of domain is it/OS running?

Got it working. This was an XP box connected to a Win2K AD domain. I ended up renaming the computer then reestablishing the trust relationship.

Boy, is this stuff fun or what?

Also be careful about using GHOST (or any other imaging util) because you will get these Trust errors if multiple computers have the same ID info.
