connecting to new mobo with old stuff

hey i have some pics but first let me tell you my situations...
ok I had an older Micro ATX mobo that I could not get to do what I wanted so I got another mobo… (Txs RAR).
But putting it together the other night I notice that my older connectors for my power button, reset button and HD and on lights were different and did not fit on the new mobo… please check out the pics here and let me know what you think..
I am hoping that I can cut the wires attach new smaller (2 prong) connectors and bing-bam-boom all done…

Txs

Btw where can I get these smaller adapters????

If you are brave you can break the plastic off and put the little copper sleeves on the pins. Perhaps tape around them.

I actully did something similar to this...you can seperate the sets of wires with a razorblade and/or a pair of small wire snips.
Each set is side by side, simply cut each set from each other right down the middle. If you expose the metal from the pin insert, just paint over it with fingernail paint or something similar.(or maybe well trimmed electrical tape.)
the mobo manual will or should show the pinout order and just use common sense for what wire is hot and wich is ground...trial and error will work too.

I don't think it will matter which is + or - on the reset/power switch as it only completes the circut. But if you get the HDD LEDs backwards the lights won't work,at least that's my experiance.

But JPs right, just clip them puppies apart, and your good to go.
