Lian-Li PC50: Worth it?
I'm looking for a replacement case for my PC, and would like a smaller tower so it isn't such a pain to move my computer to LAN's and such. Lian-Li makes the PC-50, which suits my needs perfectly except for the PSU placement. It's situated right over the CPU fan, and I need to make sure my Coolermaster X-Dream HSF won't be slammed against the top of my power supply.
Right now I use an Enermax 300w, single fan, and before I fork over the bucks for this sweet case, I need some other users to chime in their experience with this thing. Anyone else have this case?
If it matters, my mobo is an Asus A7N8X Deluxe.

Every Lian Li owner I've ever known has been a happy one.

$85!!
WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYONE BUY ONE OF THESE CASES!
I just don't get it. I find the cases that I buy (ahanix usually) to be just fine! I look at some of Alienware, and Lian Li cases and I am baffeled at how someone can give away $100, $200, $300+ dollars for cosmetics! Mind you that no othr case I have ever seens even comes close to the "shinyness" of a new Lian Li case, but come on, if your lugging it to lan parties and the like, the outside won't remian pretty for that long.
I just bought a cool looking case for my frind for $30. I dremeled in a clear window, put in a fan in the front for him, and put in a laser-cut grill of a dragon in there. Looks awsome, especially for the price. My case is a Ahanix Platinum XP that comes with a temp probe built in for $60 shipped.
As always, it's your money, but can someone please justify spending that much on a case?

aluminum...quality...easy of use
cheap cases tend to have poor airflow.

Yup, aluminium is lighter, the quality you pay for, rounded edges, well designed interior space, airflow... etc etc.
Cheap cases are just that, cheap.

No, see, I need the most expandability in the smallest amount of space, and this Lian-Li seems the best for me. I don't care about asthetics, only performance. I'm tired of lugging my big mid-tower case to freinds houses and LANs. My 19" monitor only makes it worse. So, before I get this, I need to make sure that my proc cooler will fit under the PSU.

Do you do much overclocking?
This review: http://www.procooling.com/reviews/ht..._review_-_.php
claims that this case isnt good with overclocked AMDs because the side mounted PSU doesnt have optimal airflow by the CPU... dont really know if it would or not but just happened to read it

I don't have a problem lugging cases to LAN parties, and I have a chieftec. Monitors are much worse.
Slap a pair of handles on it and carrying becomes a little easier...something like this: http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/han-01.html
You can get those handles (not colored, just chrome) from your local hardware store for $3 or $4

Yeah I was also going to buy a GearGrip or an XBags, that would eliminate a lot of the stress with LAN parties. Which do you think is better: GearGrip or Xbags?
I also have to carry several LAN cables and a 5 port switch with me, because my freinds don't have their own. So just looking at it, the Xbags would be better because their bags, not pockets.
