Wow NOD32 Anti Virus Works Great!!!

http://www.nod32.com/home/home.htm

Go buy it right now. That thing is amazing! I scans my computer in less then 2 minutes, norton 2003 used to take 25 minutes! I also tested it out by downloading a bunch of small exe files off of kazaa. It instantly detected all kinds of viri and even trojans which norton can sometimes over look!! This program is definitely a keeper

yea this day and age with so many new viruses and worms out there i wouldn't dare use Norton or McAffee because they tend to let stuff slip right by them and can't get rid of half of the virus's or worms once you get them. I'd definately suggest something top notch like NOD32 or Kaspersky if you want the best.

i have been running Norton systemworks 2003 for 1 year with no slipups from the NAV 2003, i even downloaded virus test file to see if NAV could find it and bang straight away the test virus was captured =), so hey, i think NAV does a great job for me, personnal preference, tried kaspersky great AV but it wouldnt let me access the internet,

You know... everytime I see a post worded like this... with this much "enthusiasm"... my antennae go up, and I start thinking info-mercial.

Sam seems to be WAY too happy with this discovery... maybe he needs to unplug and get out more often?

Anyway, I'm skeptical at this point.

OBTW, I've been a Norton's AV user back since DOS 3.1/Win 3.0 days. As long as I keep up the virus defs and program updates, I have never had a problem. Yes, today scans take about 30 minutes or so, but then I set heuristics to high, plus I've got about half a million files spread over roughly 80gb of disk storage... so what, schedule the full scan to run when I know I'm away from my PC.

If an AV program can scan my stuff in a couple minutes, it's got to be missing stuff, IMO.

This is Correct!!! If you keep the Updates Current, Norton's A-V should be just as good as any Other A-V Software....

2 Minutes is Crazy, I'll take the 25min over 2min. Something is Screwy here!!

The only problem I have with Norton is the virus signatures are updates once a week. They put their signatures up on Thursdays. Or is there an unwritten rule that new viruses can't be released till Wednesday?

I've used just about every antivirus package out there and there is NOTHING extraordinary about NOD32. As good or bad as others only more expensive.

The post looks like the writer has an agenda.

I finally settled on AVG available for free at www.grisoft.com.

Keep your AV up do date and you don't need to spend $$ on expensive AV packages. Spend the money on RAM instead.

I've seen Symantec update Norton more frequently than weekly many times, expecially if there is a big problem breaking loose.
