Final motherboard decision

Ok I have listened to and read feedback and read reviews and opinions all over the place. These are my final choices:

Asus A7V8X or A7V8X-X
Gigabyte GA-7VAXP or GA-7VAX
Soltek SL-75FRN2-L

What I am most concerned with is combatability with my Kingston HyperX memory and Radeon Excaliber 9000 Pro 128mb card. That is why I am still leary of the Soltek or any nforce2 boards. Kingston says they have seen alot of problems with the HyperX and nforce2 boards.

Which one is my best bet.

Thanks

That would largely depend on what exactly you're going to do with that thing, isn't it?

I'd take the Asus or Gigabyte....
personally, I've had nothing but great experiences with Gigabyte boards and VIA Chipsets.

I would go with Asus. They can be a bit flaky but nice fast boards.

All the boards you listed are very good boards...unless there is a known common problem...ACROSS the board with a certain brand and a certain type of memory or CPU, then dont get worried about a few people saying "this that or the next thing" about what is or isn't good...there are problems with ALL boards!
(75% of the time the problem is actually the user!)
That Asus is a solid well made popular board...it would be a good choice and I have heard no-one say that they had specific problems with that board and Hyper-X mem.

If you want to do some serious overcloking and want great performance and stability, I would go with the Soltek 75-FRN2 series. Why you ask? Because I am using one and I must say I am quite impressed with it's performance. With some good quality pc3200 or better ram you won't have a problem breaking the 200 FSB barrier. These mainboards really are awsome and have seen quite a few people running 225+ fsb stable. These mobos have received rave reviews for oc'ing and performance - sorry don't have any links at the moment. Just do a google search. If you're looking for a full featured mobo and don't care about speed, I would go with the Asus. Don't personally know much about Gigabyte. The Solteks are a suprising underdog in the industry that don't get much recognition compared the the "big name" maunfactuers. Don't let this fool you though. Just read some reviews and go check out some other forums such as nforcershq.com and look under the Soltek section. This point should be taken: You can hardly go wrong with most of the Nforce2 chipsets. This is just an awesome platform for performance.
