Outdoors problems with VIA Tech chipset and Radeon 7000

this makes me feel sad...
i open up powerstrip or anything and says my AGP is enabled at 2x

I open up DX Diag... or SMARTGART and it says my AGP is disabled and i try to enable it and reboot, but it still stays de-activated

here is my specs
(btw: this is a compaq system... so my BIOS is VERY VERY VERY VERY limited, no AGP options or anything)

i installed VIA 4in1 drivers(AGP worked fine before installing this piece of crap, and i tried uninstalling it and it worked but AGP was still de-activated) , updated catalyst drivers etc etc

so here are my specs

AMD Duron 800mhz
256 megs of pc133 SDRAM
VIA technologies Apollo Pro 133
Radeon 7000 with 64 mb DDR (AGP)

No IRQs are in conflict... i tried everything i could think of... someone help me!! PLESE

You can't have a Duron and an "Apollo Pro" chipset there. The latter are Pentium-II/III chipsets. Please check the facts.

OK ... try installing VIA's drivers again. If it doesn't do AGP then, it'll be time for a Windows reinstall.
