What's Going on Here?!?!

I have RCN 2 way cable internet, hooked up on a Toshiba PCX2200 cable modem. I use a Microsoft Wired Base Station Router. Surfing the net is very fast, pages take no time to load. Downloads on the other hand, go very slowly. On kazaa, I get 25kb/sec, which is patehtic for cable internet. I am calling RCN tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It depends on the sources you get for the files...you can't expect any speed on P2P software.

yes you will only download as fast as the person is uploading. be happy with that speed. You are downloading from normal users just like you. Do not expect speeds of 150K on p2p and if you do find someone who uploads at that speed. you got lucky.

On my uncle's roadrunner cable I could often get 100+, same with my friend who has dsl, which is supposed to be slower.

100+K is from multiple sources, thats the ONLY way you can get that kind of speed.

Not the only way, but the best way 99% of the time. For me, I once hit over 2000 when my cable came uncapped once (that was insane, I have screenshots too!
