n00b w/ 3DMark software

I have Windows XP Home edition with a fairly up-to-date computer. Should I download 3DMark 2001 or 2003? Briefly what are the differences? And why do some people use both in tests?

2001 for sure. With 2003 it is for more highend computers the scores are lower. But there are some really really cool stuff with 2003. Dl them and post your score. I would say 2001.

Most people use both because 3dmark03 is still pretty new...we're used to 3dmark2001SE scores.

And I think it is depressing when in 2001se I get 14k and in 2003 I get like 3.9k. I use both.

If the scores weren't low now they'd be ridiculously high later...just like 3dmark2001se has gotten.

I'd get both, but you will probably use 01 more often.....just ignore those people that score 23,000+
