need help with my logitech joystick

last year i bought a Logitech Wingman Extreme digital 3D joystick, after much use it began to lossen up and now it has gotten so bad that i cant even fly. The main problem is in the twisting handle because no matter how many times i calabrate it, it still wont work right.

So i was wondering if any of you had this joystick and knew if there was some way to tighten it or have any tips.

No need to double post...

I don't own it but I've dug into a couple joysticks (all of them MS joysticks, go figure) ... just make sure you remember where everything goes and if you don't think you can put a certain part back together don't take it off.
