Motherboard Issues-

Well, at least I hope it's just a motherboard issue.

I'm building this old computer that I just need up and running for a few weeks.

It has a 700 mhz P III, 10 GB HDD, And 288 Ram and whatnot. I know the components work together because I had them together like 3 weeks back and it was all good. But I just put it all back together, and when I turn it on I get nothing. No blip, no beep, nothing. The motherboard doesnt even have the little red light on.

The LED light is on on the front of the machine though, so i guess the power supply is good, and I checked all the pins that go to the motherboard power connection and the little plugs that go onto the pins for the power switch---

Any ideas what it could be??

Is a CPU fan plugged in? Some systems freak out and won't boot (usually a BIOS setting) if one's not installed and detected.

Unplugged all the devices, leave just the video card in and try booting with just one stick of RAM.

That's okay, a lot of people have the same problem and a lot of the time just happen to have overlooked the one thing...just trying to getcha there
