Should I buy these surround sound speakers?

I don't know anything about surround sound speakers, but I found these speakers for only $140, and thought it was a great deal. But I figured it'd be best to ask others first if they were any good before plopping down the cash. So, take a look and please reply! BTW these are for my living room.

RCA RT2360
http://www.rca.com/product/viewdetai...00022,00.html?

50 Watt x 5 Plus a 50 Watt Subwoofer Amplifier (total 300 Watts)
Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 Channel Surround Sound Decoding
Dolby Pro Logic II Decoding for any Stereo Source
Equalizer with Presets
Digital Sound Processing
Digital AM/FM Stereo Tuner with 40 Station Presets
Front Panel Audio/Video Inputs
Optical Digital Audio Inputs
Coaxial Digital Audio Input
S-Video Connection
Stereo Headphone Jack
4 Level Display Dimmer
Universal Remote Control

I plan on mainly using these for video games and sometimes movies. So please, anyone with any knowledge about speakers, tell me if you think I should buy them!!!

I would recommend that you listen to some Polk speakers. They cost more than these but they are good. If you just want sound from your console game box or computer then choose Logitech or Klipsch.

So you wouldn't recommend these? I'm just looking for a cheap 5.1 surround system, I don't want anything expensive like Polk. $150 is all I want to spend. My only concern is that they may be too small for a living room, do you think so?

Logitech makes a budget 5.1 set that sounds really good, you can pick them up for around $60 at most places. Check NewEgg for them, as I reckon their better than the ones you mentioned.

Artic fox is right...these are really nice...good sound and loud... no reciever like the RCA, but good bang for the buck!
