PS2 Game Suggestions

I need some game suggestions for my wife/kids's PS2 game console. They just had to have it. I know the next generation is right around the corner but, it's here, now and games are readily available sell/rent.

I play all of my games on PC but they are built for console gaming.
The last games my wife played on PC was MOH:AA and GTA III.
She's a killer Ms. Pacman player. Donkey Kong was a fav on N64,

Mostly her and my two daughters will be playing. 12 & 13. They are into the Sims.
They bought me Socom.

Here's what I'm looking for;
Action Driving games
Adventure(Zelda,Donkey Kong)
Arcade games(Galaga, Ms. Pacman etc.)

Suggestion and where to buy? I will probably rent from BlockBuster before purchase.

Thanks!

As far as Arcade games go, I LOVE Namco museum.
It has galaga, galactica, pole position, pac man, (I think mrs. too, but not positive), and dig dug, along with some updated versions of all of them all one on disc.

Driving, I like Midnight club and midnight club II

G/L!

If you are into driving games Need for Speed and Grand Turismo 3 are both excellent games.

I also am a big fan of dynasty warriors 4

Tokyo Xtreme racer is a favorite of my brothers for driving action...pick it up cheap.

Of course, if you truely want the driving experience, definetely-with the highest of recommendation-go get Gran Turismo 3. Gran Turismo 4 is right around the corner, with internet play OMG!

As far as RPG's go, can't go wrong with Final Fantasy X, or XenoSaga if you want something a little linear and mostly set in outer space ( it's good, but falls short of the mark set by FFX )

SSX Tricky is a great Arcade type game, easy to figure out, a little tricky to get used to initially, but you'll be hanging huge air once you get used to the controls. Again, SSX Tricky 2 is right around the corner...w00t! Pick this one up for $20 or less.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty has an excellent story line..the ending was nothing that I expected! Gameplay=awesome. Nothing like sedating your enemy and dragging them around and putting them into compromising positions, or throwing them overboard

Of course, you have your Crash Bandicoot games...blah blah blah.

Rachet and Clank is a good adventure game, and so is Jak and Daxter.

Beyond that, I haven't been really following the PS2 console games as closely lately ( I just got BF1942, which I'm off to play! C'mere B-17 bomber! )

Playing it now. I have GTA III on PC also. My wife and kids like the game pad better. I have a gamepad for PC but I can't get it to work in GTA III.

how 'bout kingdom hearts? it's where world's collide and disney and squaresoft are mixed together. So you have disney characters along with squaresoft characters mostly from final fantasy game. the game itself is sort of like jack and daxter but much better with real time rpg menu style. worst part about the real time is you can still get hit while your trying to restore your health.

We also have GTA III VC for PS2.

I've thought about Gran Turismo III. How is Need for Speed I & II?

I just got done playing 1942 myself. That bomber just seems to fly like a concrete block. How do you get to the bombing sites for accurate bombing?
