What is up with my printer!?

Everytime I turn on the computer, the printer sends out a blank page. It is really annoying. Any thoughts?

I've got an HP Deskjet 932C.

Changing the printer drivers is always a good start.

1)go to the HP homepage, and download latest printer drivers for your printer and operating system
2)uninstall current printer drivers start>settings>control panel> add/remove programs {check printer folder to make sure it was deleted}
3) install downloaded printer drivers
4)reboot
5)turn on printer
6)start>printer folder> right click new HP printer>select properties
7) choose print a test page
during driver istall, make sure your LPT1 port is selected

Kids Can be chicken or can be egg

What has changed in the PC, between the time when the printer worked as expected, until it started doing this bad trick?

IMO, drivers don't usually go bad over time; if they once worked, they should always work.

Problems usually arise when new software makes its own decisions about how a system needs to be configured during installation of the new software (which files get replaced), etc.

Sometimes installing newer software wrecks a couple files which are common to the printer and the newer software, so reinstalling printer software is a possible path to take, but not the only choice. Since going from good to bad can be caused by a software change, the problem becomes, which software caused the problem?

By replacing printer software, you may cause problems in the other software..... sometimes the solution is to get the other software upgraded, if possible.

This is a good point Dunbar.
Right-click the printer in printers folder, and select properties. Depending on the software available, there might be a troubleshooting option. Win XP has a printer troubleshooter to use.
start>help and support>printing problems>use the printing troubleshooter
Every Microsoft operating system has troubleshooters to use.
Dilbert135 could also check the HP site to make sure the most recent software drivers are installed.
Another option is to do a google search using keywords {HP Deskjet 932C will not print} etc.
