Kids Power pin configuration

There are 16 pins arranged in two rows of 8 and a key that reads:
HD LED +1 -3
Pwr LED +2 -4
Reset 5- 7+
Pwr On +6 -8
IR +11, 13, 15

I don't see offhand how these readings match up with where the pins go (there appears to be overlaps, such as the HD and Power LEDs both using pin #2). What am I missing here?

Not sure. It's a Dell with an Intel pentium II 733MHz. The mobo label reads Dell Rev. A03. It also has N232 etched on it.
I can't find the manual, so can't look it up there.
It also doesn't list the hardware version in the control panel hardward description of the motherboard.
There are several listings of Intel 82801AA Controllers & Bridges.

Does any of that help?

Basically, I was wondering if there was any kind of numbering convention for pins (e.g. numbered clockwise starting at the upper left hand corner).

So given the hypothetical convention I mentioned, it would be:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16

That would be the normal way of numbering them. Was there any sinkscreening around there? Those that tell you what goes where?

If you download aida32 and run it, it'll tell you what your mobo is and you can post it here. I haven't found anything on google with your info.

Thanks for the AIDA32 recommendation.
It's an Intel Cayman CA810.

So for the HD LED +1 -3
It only has two pins, so can't plug into 1 and 3.
I have the power switch in pins 13 & 14 as numbered above (with the positive end at the 14) and the power switch works, even though it's labeled Pwr On +6 -8. I don't see how this position correlates with this number. Can you explain it to me?

I don't see how the Belarc Advisor is any different from AIDA32. Don't both of these programs do the same thing? They both identify the hardware and software installed on your system. I don't think either of them will tell me how to plug the pins into the board.

i know the answer i think. my mobo is numbered like this
1 3 5 7 9
2 4 6 8 10
which makes sense with the numbers you gave
