Food Kazaa Lite

I'm finally going to attempt to download Kazaa Lite, but I have this fear of losing all my downloads. Currently everything I have is in my shared folder. I've been told to copy my shared folder into another folder before I remove the old Kazaa from my computer. My question is this: What OTHER folder am I to put it into? Right now, my shared folder appears on my desk top, if I leave it there and cancel out my old Kazaa, will it disappear off my desk top, or will it stay and all I have to do is move it to Kazaa Lite?
I also have another question. Is it possible to send my entire shared folder to a friend, or would I have to send individual files from my shared folder, one at a time?

if youre worried about losing the folder on your desktop just rename it. name it "my old folder"

then you wont have to worry about anything being overwritten. as far as sending files, you cant email something via email too big in alot of cases even on broadband. i think my i.s.p. has bumped it up to about 6-10 megs which is big enough.

i belive AIM has something about sharing files/folders so i d look into that.

Thanks everyone. I'm off to download. I'll return, should I have more dilemmas.

OK, I'm back. I renamed my "shared folder", to Old Folder. How do I transfer it into Kazaa Lite now. When I right click it, on send to, it gives me options, but no where I can type in Kazaa Lite.
Does anybody understand what I'm trying to say???

yes and that is not what you want to do...just open the windows explorer and select the "old folder" ...highlight all the files and "right click" drag them to the new "shared folder" and select "Move here"
ICQ standard has one of the best and easiest to use file sharing abilities I've used. You may want to Zip or Rar them first to save upload time.
Unless you want to burn the files to cdr and snail mail.

Once you've installed K-lite click options and find media to share then run the media Wizard.
Don't be afraid to create new folders and move things like MP3's and videos around.

You guys make it sound so difficult, you dont have to move any files. Delete your "C:\My Shared Folder" and rename your "My Old Folder" back to My Shared, move that folder back into where the MY Shared folder was before and when you start kazaa it will automatically detect it. Easy Explanation.

MY SHARED FOLDER in C:\ Drive << Delete this

MY OLD FOLDER in Desktop << Rename to My Shared Folder and move to C:\ Drive

I don't know how it happened but all my downloads from the old Kazaa, are now in "My Documents". The only thing that appears in my shared folder is the actual Kazaa Lite download.
Does anybody know how to get the downloads out of My Documents and into the Kazaa Lite Shared Folder???
When I right click on each individual download it ONLY gives me the option of sending it to:
3 1\2" floppy
Desk Top
Direct CD Drive
Mail Recipient
or My Documents, where they already are.
Any Suggestions???

Open "Windows Explorer"...if its not already open, click the Folders tab at top so there is a list of the folders along the left hand side of window...use that list to highlight the "My Documents" folder.....Then highlight all your downloads and partial files that you want in your shared folder and drag them over into the "My Shared Folder" on the left hand side.
