photoshop suggestions

i make image graphics and i was wondering is there any good way to make, like has anyone made an image before and it had that taste to it , well let me get to the point, i ask someone who has this pic as a signature



and i ask him about that #1 diamond text design, and he said its easy but he told me some stuff but its not too close, i just get circles but nothing looking like that, and he said i'll make u a quick one to show u how it would look, i was amazed.



does anyone know how to make that same diamond image ????? if so could u tell me or send me a tutorial of it

i believe the easiest way is to make a seperate layer, and you can draw or insert pics or images or effects onto the layer. this is how lightsabers are done

yes but he created this, just type the name, make it big and bold, and then get a magic wand blah blah blah


heres a copy of what he told me, i cut the conversation short and just put the parts that was most important, i just can't get it...


1.you gotta make a big text, make it a white text though
2.I use sizes like 95 and above
3.Something that looks bold and big
4.Experiment with many fonts
5.Then select each one of the letters with the magic wand
6.(Optional)Click on select and go to modif/contract and put in 2.(optional)
7.Then make sure you have black as the other default color behind the white 8.square
9.Go to Filter/Stylize/Tiles and make the second number under the first 5
10.It make the area smaller and look a little more realistic
11.Then go to Filter/Blur/Gaussian blur
12.Change the slider till the tiles are circle
13.Then go to image/adjustements then levels
14.Adjust the three arrow till you get clear and almost perfect circles
15.Go to filter/noise/add noise select Guassian and monochromatic
16.Well I meant make sure you can see cirlces
17.And the other part behind the circles should be dark or black
18.No, the lines next to the cirlces that seperate the diamonds should be dark
19.The noise will add diamond cuts in the diamonds
20.Not really dark though
21.Adjust the noise bar to make it look like real diamond cut

close but not like the diamond lighting up, and i like ur pic but its like mesh gold/ silver, i need something with a silver diamond look,

So....um, you just want to know how to make the highlight? That's a Lens Flare.

Goto Filter / Render / Lens Flare
