Toshiba PCX220 Cable Modem Question

I have a pcx2200 cable modem, and a 5 port hub. My computer has usb 2.0, the others in the house don't. Is it possible to have the ethernet going into the hub, and the usb going into my computer? Will it send the internet to the hub and my computer? Thanks.

Yes, you just need to set your computer to share the connection to the modem, then set all your other PCs to connec through the LAN. This makes your computer a NAT/gateway to the internet for the other systems.

Would it be faster to just use the ethernet?

there will be no speed difference...your connection will not come close to the capabilities of either USB or your ethernet.
