Kids Case & Flat Panel Question

Hey,

In your opinion (obviously) what is the best case for a general purpose machine.

I didn't want to throw two threads out there so I'll put this here as well.

What's the current most reliable and decent Flat Panel Display brands and/or models. I want to switch to a FP but I'm worried about ghosting or bad frame rate display. Then again, I don't want to spend a grand on one either..

Well, really any cheap case will do for a desktop rig. Check www.casedepot.com for a mid-tower case in your budget range.

As for flat-panels, NEC/Mitsubishi make awesome panels, so do Sony and maybe Planar. But even the best LCD's will ghost and streak, the severity is what seperates them.

What really will kill LCD's is OLED technology. Streaking and ghosting are absolutely nonexistant, their cheap, and they can be bent and rolled up like newspaper. Stay tuned for this stuff, folks, you shouldn't regret it.

For general purpose...I would suggest go cheap... this or one of these would more than do...my choice is the Nikao from Amamax with this PSU .
I have the black version of this case and am very happy with it... has a cool little LED in front to monitor temps.
Good review here.
