dvd-rom, green subtitles

I recently had a problem with XP and had to reinstall the OS, thus reinstalling most software and hardware like my dvd-rom player. I watch a lot of Japanese anime so i watch a lot of stuff subtitled. Ever since i reinstalled the dvd-rom drive and software the subtitles have been green and not yellow. i know it's not the dvd discs and for the first few times using the freshly installed dvd-rom the subtitles were their usual yellow. It's really annoying because the green is a very bright green and the outlines of the letters are brighter than the cores. I think it may be a video card issue, not a bug but a configuration i need to fix. anyone have any idea?
