Has anybody tried the unofficial RPM for WineX?

Does anybody know if WineX from THIS site works? It's an RPM built from the free version of WineX and it doesn't include any of the third party components of the non-free WineX which makes it completely legal (so this question is not against forum rules).

Does anybody know anything about it? If it requires any strange dependancies or anything or if it only works for certain Linux distros?

Doesn't seem to be much info there, but I would guess the exact same requirements for WineX. Have you tried it and seen if it works?

I tried it yesterday and I couldn't get it to work. Then again, I couldn't get any Wine to work on Mandrake. Wine from source won't compile, Wine from RPM will run a program then the program will either crash or freeze, codeweavers Wine doesn't install everything it needs (says it's missing Xmessage). WineX will give a bunch of error messages then run the program then crash.

Can anybody run wine on Mandrake?

Use codeweavers wine to run applications. It is quite good.

To get xmessage you need to install the X11R6-contribs package. This is probably on one of the install CD's. If not you can get it from rpmfind.net

I read that on the codeweavers site and it doesn't work. Look at the picture.

You are trying to install an older library than your current X server version.

Grab this file and install it.
ftp.sunet.se/pub/Linux/distributions/mandrake/9.1/i586/Mandrake/RPMS/X11R6-contrib-4.3-5mdk.i586.rpm

That worked but I can't install Half-Life at all. I've installed it before with codeweavers wine but that was like over a year ago on Mandrake 8.2
Here is what the console says

[shawn@localhost cdrom]$ wine ./SETUP.EXE
