For some games it can be...depends on it's controls though. The only game I use my gamepad for is MVP Baseball 2003...If I was motivated enough, I'd play FPS games with an xbox controller.

For all FPS a mouse and keyboard it the best. For racing games the like. A gamepad can be better because you can steer in "little" increments. Games that were ported from the console like NBA games play AWSOME with a gamepad.

I use keyboard for Vice City..never played it with my gamepad.

For "first person shooters" it by far the best to use the mouse/keyboard combo. By far!!!

As for the other type games...don't know, don't play 'em.

hmmm...well I bounce back and forth depending upon the game. gta games I use a gamepad (logitech wingman rumblepad to be exact), but use mouse and gamepad for precision sniping.

moa- mainly keys/mouse, but possibly gamepad/mouse (shahani shared that recipe a long while back and I kind of like it)

driving and sports games I like a gamepad. It's hard for me to really feel the excitement with a keyboard, but as games get more complex I've just had to adapt.
I think you'll find most people here use keys/mouse combo most though.

Fat? they're for real gamers, not little kids...that's a first for a game console.

I'm far better at console FPS games than PC...it's much simpler on a gamepad.

Having started gaming on Nintendo I find the gamepad (M$ Sidewinder) to be the easiest for fighting, driving, and flying.Shooter games with a mouse+keyboard, and all others BORING!
