I've got two problems, and I hope someone can help me fix this.
1. Installing any ADOBE READER version:
Message -
Can not start this 16-bit program. Close other applications and try again."
(translated). It also says there's not enough memory.
OR: Nothing happens after unpacking the files in the installer.
Windows XP, Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, 228 RAM
2.
Getting a laptop going when it's without an operating system. The hard drive was cleaned up
really good before it was given to me. I can't get into any BIOS during setup. It also seems that
the machine is confused about what's the A: and what's the C: drives. It has removable floppy and CD-ROM drive,
which makes it difficult to get anything sane done, as I constantly have to switch between these two drives in
order to find some loophole which would give me the POWER to revitalize this old thing.
It's a Compaq Armada, 266 MHz laptop, I don't know anything else about it.
Thanks for bothering to read this stuff
