Console or Comp?

Which is better? Which is worth your money?

Console. Upgrade potential: nonexistent. Graphics Quality: good. Mulitplayer ability: fair.(whats the pointh when the other guy can see your screen?) Headshots: horrible. Control: decent(depending on the game) Load times: great.

Comp. Upgrade Ability: oh yeah! Graphics: Nothin better! Multiplayer: 100's of players at the same time. Headshots: great. Control: nothin beats a keyboard and mouse. Load times: fair.

If you want a quick fix, yeah, play a console. But if ya want to get down and dirrrty, ya got to get a comp!

I'd say Computer, you can do a lot more than just play games, like view forums like this for example.

I think almost everyone in this forum would say computer is better. you can uprage it if it gets old, and cheaper games IMO

Sorry but I need both. PC-internet, work, games. Console- games. when i play a game i want to be layed back in a comfortable couch not a stiff chair with my back all bent out.

obviously a computer can do much more because it is a computer a multitasking machine. a console is just for games. can't really compare. it's like comparing a track & field sprinter with a pentathlon who do you think is better?

oh and you can't just keep upgrading a pc because the mobo can only upgrade to a certain extent. in a year the pc's that have been bought to date would be out of date already because new stuff keeps comin out and puttin our year old pc's to shame.

if you replace the mobo it's not really upgrading. It means you just bought another pc. the mobo is the pretty much the bulk of the pc. Its just like a car... you can't say i modified my engine in my car when i actually bought a new one to put in its place. so same goes for the pc. unless you replace a video, sound card or more ram or a new cpu that is upgrading. but you can only go so high as to the speed of the cpu until you hit a wall. if you replace the mobo then you replacing the car engine and you got yourself a new pc in the process. get wut i'm saying

I know what ya mean, and it makes perfect sense, I feel the same way.

But on the other hand, wouldn't that go for all the parts?

I mean, if you "upgrade" your cpu, that's also replacing it.

I think upgrading is defined by replacing it with something newer, better and faster, or whatever definition goes for the thing you upgrade.

So, upgrading is replacing, but replacing is not necessarily upgrading.

it's not really one or the other...I like both. I have kids, they love anything Mario and I don't want them banging on our PC's...and they can't get Super Smash Bros on the PC. Also, with the new gaming systems, you can have more than one person playing at the same time...up to four on our GameCube...and it's just fun to sit on the floor or comfy chair with a bunch of friends and beat the crap out of each other in a melee.

The PC is more for by-your-self gaming...or online...

Besides, while your playing a game on the PC...the wife and kids won't be buggin' ya 'cause they've got their console!
