Systems [Poll] Death knell for Blizzard

I was just reading in a gaming magazine that 4 of the top guys in blizzard resigned on june 30. Bill Roper, Erich Schaefer, Max Schaefer, and David Brevik. I know these names aren't important to you as they aren't to me, but their body of work is very important. These are the minds behind the creation of Diablo, and some of the other games. The guys left because they were refused more input by Vivendi Universal Management. BIG MISTAKE!!! Good news though, they plan on forming their own studio .

So as the subject states, does anyone else think Blizzard is done for??

No I don't think so. Vivendi might have shot theirselves in the foot but I don't think this will kill Blizzard. Maybe just cripple them for a little while.

I don't give a damn if blizzard crumbles, as long as the people who made the games (Ie. the employees) still make them.

Nah, I don't think this means the end of blizzard entertainment, as grandchehaw said, it would cripple them a bit, but I think Blizzard employees and their internal quality system it's what makes them one of the most succesfull companies.

And maybe these guys get a good quality studio as blizzard is, an that means we are the winners.

I hope they don't follow the steps of John Romero of Ion Storm.....

I doubt this is the end of Blizzard. They can always hire new programmers, coders, etc.
Although they would probably be a bit better off if those 4 did stay with them.

My guess is that money was a really really big factor.
